Wilsons international fame was boosted when she was signed on to play Alison Lockhart. A troubled, young woman named Alison Lockhart has a dark background and is in the love of Noah Solloway. Wilson was honored with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress of an Television Series in Drama 2015 alongside Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue: "I love that I can play characters from two angles." Noah believes that Alison is an attractive, confident and reckless persona of her. In reality, however, Alison views herself as dowdy. She added "I think America is such a moral society and very critical. What happens on the show is shocking." Wilson, who left The Simpsons in the year 2018, was not forthcoming with details. During an interview on CBS This Morning Interview in August, 2018, Wilson admitted, "I did want to go but I can't talk about the reason that led me to leave." A Little Stranger More recently Wilson has been pursuing films. In 2016 she starred in the horror film I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and, in 2017, she as the mysterious PT Stella in the sci-fi romantic comedy How to Talk to Girls at Parties. To complete the list of credits she has her upcoming film will feature the British film adaptation of The Little Stranger. This supernatural thriller is based off the novel by Sarah Waters. Wilson is also in charge of the production.
